austria and the USA

Nina Gigele is a former Austrian ski racer, certified ski instructor, mountain guide, examiner and coach. She became a ski mountain guide at just 21, opening the door to a life of skiing and adventure around the world — from New Zealand, Japan, Alaska and Chile to Switzerland, Svalbard and countless destinations across Europe. For Nina, skiing has always been much more than a sport. It has shaped her life, connected her with remarkable people from around the world and continually opened the door to new experiences. She has built her career largely through her own drive, curiosity and willingness to explore new opportunities. Today, she creates luxury ski experiences around the world for clients who trust her to deliver unforgettable moments — work that combines her love of the mountains, travel and bringing people together.

Alongside her work in the mountains, Nina runs her own consulting business, specializing in marketing, sales and branding, with a particular focus on workwear, ski workwear and social media. As a Harvard Business School graduate, she brings together business experience with a highly practical, mountain-driven background and an international perspective shaped by working across different cultures. That combination is also a large part of what drew Nina to Lowdown. For her, it always starts with the people. The founder and team immediately stood out through their energy, mindset and ambition — qualities she believes are fundamental to what makes the brand special. Nina is also part of Lowdown in a slightly unexpected way. She uses Lowdown as her cycling helmet and has brought a different perspective to the brand, encouraging the team to think beyond the obvious and consider new sports, communities and experiences. Connecting different worlds, recognizing possibilities others might overlook and having fun bringing those ideas to life is something that comes naturally to Nina. For her, the journey remains the reward — and she continues to find enormous value in creating, sharing and enjoying memorable moments along the way.
