Refund policy

We have a 30-day return and refund policy on all US orders, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return, refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Please be sure to protect the helmet in the plastic film or the canvas bag and make sure to put the helmet box within the shipping box, just as it was received. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return authorization will not be accepted. LowDown Helmets does not supply prepaid shipping labels for returns or exchanges.

International Orders
We do not offer prepaid return labels for any returns or exchanges on International orders outside of the United States. Please carefully select the helmet model and size you would like. If you are between sizes choose the larger size. Our helmets are full coverage and fit snugger then most styles on the market. Like a good leather shoe they break-in and form to your head shape with a little bit of time. Please carefully consider your size selection when ordering.   

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of gift cards.

Exchanges
To initiate an exchange, please email info@lowdownhelmets.com or call 970-399-5244. LowDown Helmets does not offer prepaid return labels. Your exchanged helmet will be sent back to you with free shipping. 

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. You will also need to pay for return shipping of your product. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
